Hours of Operation

Directions to the Dr. Edward C. Papenfuse State Archives Building at 350 Rowe Boulevard, Annapolis, MD 21401.

The public search room is open Tuesday through Friday and most Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Archives is CLOSED ON SUNDAYS, MONDAYS, the FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH, and SATURDAYS OF HOLIDAY WEEKENDS.

Records are pulled every half hour starting at 8:45 with the last pull of the day at 3:45. On Saturdays, due to limited staffing, the Searchroom and Microfilm Rooms remain open to the public between 11:30 and 1:30, but record pulls are not performed at 11:45, 12:15, 12:45 and 1:15.

Closures for 2010 are:
Friday, January 1; Monday, January 18; Monday, February 15; Friday, May 28; Monday, May 31; Monday, July 5; Monday, September 6; Monday, October 11; Tuesday, November 2; Thursday, November 11; Thursday & Friday, November 25, 26; Friday, December 24; Friday, December 31.
